Transco narrow-gauge railway
of the NEAT building site in Sedrun. Diesel locomotive LK 3 with two
passenger cars in the tunnel. This is not the new Gotthard base tunnel,
but only an access tunnel to a vertical shaft which goes down 800 m to
the building site of the base tunnel.

All machinery is brought to the building site through this tunnel, and
all material from the central building site is transported out to Sedrun
through here.

Transco narrow-gauge railway
of the NEAT building site in Sedrun. This rotation dumper is used to
unload wagons with material from the tunnel (rocks and sand). Several
wagons are entirely turned upside down to unload them. The material is
then transported with conveyor belts to another station where it is
loaded on 1000 mm wagons which go down the mgb line to Disentis (and
further on to Chur on the RhB).

Transco narrow-gauge railway
of the NEAT building site in Sedrun. The entrance - not to the new Gotthard
base tunnel (that's in Erstfeld), but to the access tunnel to a vertical
shaft which allows to build the tunnel from the middle (and will, once
the tunnel is finished, be used for ventilation and as an emergency exit
or even a regular station).
