MVR, line Montreux-Glion-Naye The rack locomotive HGe 2/2 3 with the rotary snow plow Xrot 3 in front of the depot in Glion. This locomotive built in 1909 had a wooden bodywork, then she was transformed in 1976 with a new bodywork made of steel. Although she looks modern, the mechanical and electrical parts are unchanged since 1909! From 1976 to 1998 she was numbered HGe 2/2 101. (03 December 2003)

MVR/MTGN - Switzerland While one of the two old shunters of MG (now MVR/MTGN) was completely rebuilt into number 101, the other one - HGe2/2 2 - is still available in its original shape of 1909! It seems that it had a rather minor duty, hauling a flat car with waste and another small freight car. Glion, 26-11-2005

Transports Montreux-Vevey-Rivièra (MVR-MTGN) - Switzerland Heavily modernised locomotive/shunter HGe2/2 nr. 3 with a short departmental train in Caux. In the winter this locomotive also pushes the snow plow. Caux, 06-08-2010 Digital photo by Marco van Uden |
MVR/MTGN - Switzerland Our (passenger) train up to Rochers-de-Naye was the first one after the first snowfall, but the snowplow had already cleared the track. On our way up we met it coming down. When we came down Xrot 3 and its power pack HGe2/2 101 were stabled at the depot of Glion. Sorry for the tilted picture, but the line is steep and the opening windows are very small...
