The level crossing of the Wengernalpbahn at the track leaving the station Grund
towards Kleine Scheidegg seen on 21 March 2002. In this case the rack in the
crossing is of the Riggenbach type. It is a bit higher than the rails, for the
car drivers it's a good idea to pass this crossing very slowly.

An incline indicator of the Wengernalpbahn between the siding Rohr and the
station Brandegg on the line from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg, seen from a
BDhe 4/8 EMU going up on 18 March 2002. It indicates an incline of 250 permille
(25 percent) on the next 270 meters, this is one of the steepest parts of the
line.

The siding of the Wengernalpbahn between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen seen on 20
March 2002. The picture was taken from the train visible on the left, which
waited for a crossing train on the way down. The siding is located in a very
steep terrain, note the protection against falling rocks. In the background the
exit signal is visible, behind it the line enters a tunnel.

A rack switch of the Wengernalpbahn at Kleine Scheidegg seen on 20 March 2002.
Very uncommon is that the rail is not moved out of position at the point where
it is crossed by the rack. Two parts of the rack move next to it, forming a
steady line of teeth above the rail.
