The station of Grindelwald seen on 21 March 2002. The meter gauge tracks without rack on the left belong to the Berner Oberland-Bahn which is only equipped with rack on some steep parts of the line. The 800 mm gauge tracks with rack on the right belong to the Wengernalpbahn, which is a pure rack railway. One of the older trains, consisting of a BDhe 4/4 power car, a trailer and a freight car for the skis, is visible, each of the two tracks can take two of those trains or two of the new BDhe 4/8 double EMUs.

The track to the old loco shed is cut of. At the right edge in the background is the line of the Wengernalpbahn descending to Grund.
