post bus.

Uerikon-Bauma Bahn CZm 1/2 31.
This unit was built by Maschinenfabrik Esslingen for the Schweizerische Nordostbahn and
delivered 1902 to the newly-formed SBB CFF FFS. It was originally equipped with a
Serpollet boiler, which didn't work well. In 1907 a new Kittel boiler was installed and
the unit was sold to the UeBB, which went to the SBB CFF FFS in 1947. As
the line was electrified, it went out of service in 1950. In 1980 it was restored with
UeBB inscription and is now owned by SBB Historic.

Uerikon-Bauma Bahn CZm 1/2 31. Here seen from the "passenger
end". This unit only has a cab on one end, and was probably
turned on turntables during its active years. During the
special runs between Bauma and Bäretswil, it went
"backwards" on the way back, with a man standing on the
platform and giving signs to the engineer.
