Tracks West of Genève-Cornavin, looking towards that station.
• Left: single track (1.5kV DC) to/from La Plaine and Bellegarde, for Geneva-France traffic. This track then joins the chord of La Praille-Ouest, through an underground dive-under (off-pic);
Under the CEVA project, traffic from Cornavin to Eaux-Vives and Annemasse will run on the Airport-bound track, meaning that trains will actually run on the right throughout this new cross-border link. Genève. 17th June 2005.

Tracks West of Genève-Cornavin, looking towards the Airport and France.
These 2 tracks (15kV 16.7Hz AC) only accommodate traffic to/from the Airport. Until 1986, viz. prior to the remodelling required by the construction of the Railair link, this trackbed would accommodate 2 tracks under 1.5kV DC French catenary, for Geneva-France traffic. The latter now runs on a single-track further left (underground at this stage), actually using part of the chord of La Praille-Ouest. Genève. 17th June 2005.

Tracks West of Genève-Cornavin, looking towards that station.
• Left: dual track (15kV 16.7Hz AC), for traffic to/from the Airport;
• Right: single track for Geneva/La Praille-France traffic.
Until 1986, the dual track would accommodate Geneva-France traffic (with 1.5kV DC French catenary), while the Châtelaine tunnel would only lead to La Praille. Genève. 17th June 2005.

The 2 Chords of La Praille, looking towards Genève Cornavin and Bellegarde.
• Right: La Praille-Est, single track to/from Genève-Cornavin (15kV 16.7Hz AC), for Swiss Freighters and Regional services;
Both tracks run in parrallel until La Jonction, accross the Rhône, and diverge afterwards.
Under the CEVA project, the left-hand track is to become convertible (1.5kV DC or 15kV-16.7Hz AC) on La Jonction-La Praille, so as to accommodate Annemasse-bound CEVA services.
Lancy-Pont Rouge (Genève). 3rd December 2004.

Tracks West of Genève-Cornavin, looking towards France and the Airport.
• Left: single track for Geneva/La Praille-France traffic. One can spot some French equipment (Signalling, KVB and "Crocodile"); • Right: dual track (15kV 16.7Hz AC), for traffic to/from the Airport. At this stage, the single track emerges out of the Châtelaine tunnel. Genève. 17th June 2005.

• Left: single track (1.5kV DC) for Geneva/La Praille-France traffic; • Right: dual track (15kV 16.7Hz AC), for traffic to/from the Airport. Both routes diverge some 400m further, down that large white building. All in all, one of the very few opportunities to spot 1.5kV DC and 15kV AC in parrallel. Genève. 17th June 2005.

Tracks West of Genève-Cornavin, looking towards that station, seen from the rear of TER 96582/3 to Lyon-Perrache.
At this stage, the Airport link (15kV 16.7Hz AC) has diverged (further left) from the Geneva-France route (1.5kV DC), which has become dual-tracked, as more room is available. Genève. 17th June 2005.
