Locomotive 46-124-4 of BDZ leaves the station of Yambol with the express train Burgas - Sofia (called Express Slanchev Bryag) in the afternoon of 31 July 2003. This locomotive has not been modernised like some other from class 46 and it has a number of visual differences compared with them. The headlights are round and there aren't any red lights on the locomotive. The pantographs are also different as they fold the other way around on the modernised machines. And, of course, most obvious is the different paint scheme - this locomotive bears the original white & blue one which gives the whole train a nice blue-ish shade. The pink buillding to the left is the house of the switchman and as usual it has a beautiful well-kept garden in front of it. In the background a freight train can be seen. It arrived just after the passenger train and had to wait for the express to leave the station before continuing its journey. Photo and scan by Miroslav Georgiev (Miroslav_SG@all.bg)
