Locomotive 44 133.7 (home depot Plovdiv) has arrived at the station of Yambol at the head of the "Rodopi" Express from Varna to Plovdiv. The locomotive looks painfully scarred - notice the areas below the right buffer and around the left headlight. It has also borrowed a front from a class 45 Skoda quite possibly due to an accident in the past. This is signified by the fact that the wipers are now situated at the base of the windscreens while the standard arrangement for class 44 is at the top. Nevertheless, the locomotive has still preserved its charm. The blinds at the windshields are essential for the engineers - the train is in the afternoon and the route to Plovdiv is mostly due west. 20 August 2004
