Under a warm summer sunset locomotive 44-132-9 of BDZ leaves the station of Yambol with the Rhodope Express from Varna to Plovdiv. The train is named rather confusingly because it has little to do with the Rhodope mountain and actually passes through the Stara Planina mountain range on its course between Varna and Plovdiv. The engine driver was not very happy about me taking this picture. He sounded the mighty horn of the locomotive and glanced at me as though he wanted to say "Don't let me see you hanging around here again or I'll run you over with this mean red Skoda that I'm driving." The whole train looks pleasantly crimson with the cars matching the colour of the locomotive. 7 August 2003. Picture by Miroslav Georgiev (Miroslav_SG@all.bg)
