KASPICHAN: This is the place where the last few class-42 machines circulate on freight duties. All but one of them are at present rebodied and renumbered as sub-class 42 1xx. On this photo you can see locomotive 42 143.8 on its way to the depot after having arrived together with 43 556.0 at the head of a freight train from Varna. Later on in the day the two machines remained as a duet as they left Kaspichan hauling another freight train bound for Gorna Oryahovitsa. 9 December 2005
