Amazingly well kept old trams, the place is well worth a visit.

Wiener Stadtwerke tram type A no. 25 (Fuchs 1944). In service until 1975.
Length 11.3 m, weight 10.6 t, power 122 kW. Coupled in front of the trailer
type m2 no. 5200. This is a KSW (Kriegsstraßenbahnwagen = war tram car), it was delivered without electric equipment and completed in 1949. This car introduced the line signal on the roof, visible from the front and side, which became standard in all trams built from then on. Wiener Straßenbahnmuseum, 2011-06-26. |
Wiener Verkehrsbetriebe war tram type A no. 2. A simplified tramcar of
German design to replace war losses quickly, built in totally 667 units,
this one was built by Fuchs (Heidelberg) in 1944. As it was delivered
without electric equipment, it could only be taken into service in 1946,
in the beige factory paint, from 1949 these tramcars were repainted in
the regular white/red colours and used until 1975. Coupled with the
trailer k5 no. 3984.
Length 11.3 m, wheelbase 3.0 m, weight 10.6 t, power 120 kW.
