Triebwagen 3. (TW3). Igls Banhof. Here seen waiting for guests of an Austrian/Norwegian Wedding.

TW3 was built in 1909 and was originally a completely wooden vehicle and equipped with only two 49 hp
motors. Between 1936 and 1940 four 49hp motors were fitted. After TW5 overturned in 1954 and was badly
damaged all remaining TW’s had new reinforced bodies fitted. The three remaining TW’s continued in
service on line 6 until 1985. The TW2 & 3, with some technical improvements fitted, are now used for
nostalgic and special occasions.

Un-laden weight 3.1 Tons 18.2 Tons (18.5t). – Wheel arrangement ‘Bo Bo’. – Power 1200v DC. –
Motors 4 x 49hp (36.5 kw). - Capacity 30 seated and 30 standing. – Removed from service 1985. Handed
over to The Tiroler MuseumsBahnen in 1986. - Restored 1986 onwards.

IVB unit 1 built 1909 by Grazer Waggonfabrik and AEG for the newly electrified line Innsbruck - Hall in Tirol, in 1941 rebuilt with more powerful motors. In the 1950s the original wood carbody was replaced by metal. In 1974 it was taken out of service and preserved at Tramway Museum Graz. In 2000 it was returned to Innsbruck and restored in the operational state of 1974.
