Kaiser-Ferdinands-Nordbahn AJAX, built 1841 by Jones, Turner & Evans
(Warrington, Great Britain), one of the oldest preserved steam locomotives.
It was restored in 1908 for the transport museum.
Wheel arrangement B1 n2 (two inner cylinders).

Steam locomotive Ajax built 1841 by Jones, Turner & Evans for the Kaiser-Ferdinands-Nordbahn. Originally built to transport goods, but also used for passenger services. It was in service until 1874, then stored as a museum piece. In 1908 it was restored and moved to the Technical Museum. Technisches Museum Wien, 2014-06-24. |
