K.K.St.B. 310.23, built 1911 by StEG as one of 90 of its type. The 4-cylinder locomotives with 2140 mm driving wheels were designed for express trains on flat lines, reaching 100 km/h. First used on Wien - Kraków, from 1914 Wien - Praha, later numbered 16 008, it went out of service 1956, used as a stationary preheating locomotive until 1960. After years as a monument it was restored to working order 1987 for the 150-year jubilee of Austria's first steam railway. Since 1999 it is based in Strasshof.
