Main signal in Graz Hbf, track 7. The signal shows §4(1) "halt",
and is announced with the small signal repeater in the
foreground under the platform roof, showing symbol §13(16).
Because of the platform roof, the main signal is not always
visible, hence the repeater. 2002-03-06.

Distant signal near Mürzzuschlag on the closed line from Neuberg. It announces a halt on the next signal, which is the entrance signal of the station Mürzzuschlag. Clearly this line has not had any trains for several years, as the plant growth shows - but the signals are still working, and a road crossing further ahead has apparently working gates and signal lights for road traffic. 2003-10-04. |
Exit signals in Graz Hbf (north end of the station). The signal on the
left (for track 5) is red (halt), the signal on the right (for track 4)
shows green to the 1044 118-6 with the IC "Steirisches Thermenland",
which is just departing. The square signal with two green lights is a
distant signal, announcing that the next signal is clear as well. The
three white lights in a row are a brake test signal, showing to the
locomotive driver that the brakes of the train are in order. Under the
brake test signal, a departure signal (green light) is blinking.
