95 80 0 643 110-9 A-STBPV, Talent diesel-hydraulic unit (Talbot 1998) running between Graz and Weiz Nord via Gleisdorf. This unit has quite an eventful history: Built 1998 for Angel Trains (the continental European branch of which was reorganized into Alpha Trains from 2007) and rented to Ostmecklenburgische Eisenbahn, from 2005 to 2013 operated by Ostseeland Verkehr (Ola), 2013 to 2020 by Bayerische Oberlandbahn, 2020 for half a year by Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn, then until 2023 by Transdev Regio Ost (Leipzig). In 2023 it was sold along with two other units to Steiermarkbahn where it is used as an interim measure on the line (Graz -) Gleisdorf - Weiz. It is planned to electrify this line until 2028 which will also mean new rolling stock. With three secondhand Talent units Steiermarkbahn can ensure wheelchair accessibility on all trains of this line, nevertheless two units type 5047 (built 1992) are still kept operational as reserve. The three Talent units received different designs, this one is decorated in the light blue and white livery of S-Bahn Steiermark. Weiz, 2024-04-12.
