Graz - Köflacher Eisenbahn VT 70
Graz Köflacher Bahnhof, October 1999 Most of the passenger traffic on the GKE (from Graz to Köflach and Wies-Eibiswald) is operated with these stainless steel DMUs, which are a product of LHB Salzgitter and SGP Graz. Similar units are operated by the German private railways AKN and FKE. The "Köflacher Bahnhof" is situated not far from the central station in Graz, just next to the SGP works; it serves as home station for all GKE rolling stock.

The reason for the irregular window arrangement of these units:
The first series had only small flaps to open, which was
insufficient for ventilation in summer. So the later units
were delivered with half-opening windows, and the GKE workshop
later swapped windows so that each unit now has both types of
windows. 2002-09-06.
