Achenseebahn Diesel Locomotive.<BR>
D1 was built by Schöma in 1948 (builder's number 900) as a 950mm gauge 4-wheeled diesel rated at 66 kW( 88 hp) for the Inselbahn Langeoog in Germany. It was sold in 1995 to Hywema-Hebebuhnen in Solingen and used with a maintenance lifting platform to demonstrate loco servicing without a pit. Later in 1995 it was sold to the Achenseebahn where it is seen on Monday September 23rd, 2002. It is unclear from my research when this loco was converted to metre gauge.
