NÖLB Uv1, former ÖBB 298.205, at Kienberg-Gaming on the preserved part of the Ybbstalbahn. This engine is the compound version of the austrian 760mm U-class and worked on this line until withdrawal from servive in the sixties. After many years as a monument and a year long odyssey through several workshops it's now back on the tracks.

"Keep heads and arms inside" announces the conductor and the train passes this place by walking speed. The scaffolding was erected for restoring and repainting of the steel trestle bridge during the summer.

NÖLB Uv1, former ÖBB 298.205, at Lunz am See station with the Ötscherland-Express, the historic train on the preserved 760mm-gauge line from Kienberg Gaming. From here the line to Waidhofen an der Ybbs is still operated by ÖBB.

C1' (0-6-2) narrow gauge standard U-class U1. This engine was originally built for the "Niederösterreichische Landesbahnen" (Lower Austrian County Railways) for the first part of their later line to Mariazell. U1 in Kienberg - Gaming shed; This U-class engine was not the very first U ever built but it was the first U of it's first owner, the Niederösterreichische Landesbahnen (There also carrying No. 5). NÖLB U1 (ÖBB 298.51) taking water in Ruprechtshofen on the Obergrafendorf - Gresten line. During the "100 years narrow gauge in Austria"- festivities it came back as a guest to the lines it was originally built for, carrying a historic green livery.

298.53 taking water between the historic engine shed and the new built carriage shed (on the right side) in Grünburg, now the southern terminus of the Steyrtalbahn. This track once was the route track to Molln and Klaus, now it ends a few meters behind the location.
