ÖBB - Austria
Rack steam locomotive 297 401 is plinthed in the station area of
Vordernberg Markt. This locomotive used to run on the rack section
Vordernberg-Eisenerz of the railway line Leoben-Hieflau. The last
part of this line (Leoben-Vordernberg Markt) was closed by the
ÖBB for passenger service in June 2001. Possibly the
museum railway Eisenerzbahn will extend its service
Eisenerz-Vordernberg to Leoben.
