Erzbergbahn 297.401, built 1942 by Floridsdorf for DRB as 97 401, in service
until 1964, plinthed at Vordernberg Markt station. At 125 t service weight these
were by far the heaviest cogwheel locomotives used on the Erzberg line.
Despite remarkable power the only two units of this class were plagued by
technical problems.
