Reisseck funicular, overview from Kolbnitz. This is a three-section funicular,
not only for passengers but also for maintenance of a hydroelectric reservoir
system. You can see the water tubes to the power plant in front of the
picture. The lower section goes from 719 to 1286 m altitude, the middle
section from 1286 to 1769 m and the upper section (not visible from here) from
1769 to 2237 m, where it connects to a narrow gauge railway system.
