ÖBB / Rail Cargo Austria ordered 30 of these for international freight trains, with options for up to 200 (in different country configurations and with optional last mile diesel unit). For now they are approved for Austria and Germany; it is planned to use them to Italy, Hungary, Czechia, Poland, Slovakia, Croatia and Slovenia once the tests are completed. Compared to earlier Vectron MS variants an active rotational damper at the bogie is a novelty.
