The section Puntigam - Kalsdorf on the main line Wien - Graz - Spielfeld-Straß - Slovenija is actually being double-tracked.
This photo has been taken just south of Puntigam, where a provisional track leads from the old track still in use at the station Puntigam to the new track already in use south of the station.

The line had had two tracks once, but the second track has been dismantled south of Puntigam in the 1950ies and 1960ies due to low traffic.

ÖBB 1142 662-4 passes the provisional track south of Puntigam with train 4016 (Mürzzuschlag - Spielfeld-Straß).
