A-RCW 31 81 4854 004-6 Sggrrs. InnoWaggon/RockTainer Ore is a
system to move heavy bulk goods such as iron ore. Instead of
self-unloading wagons, two short-coupled container wagons are
used, carrying specialized bulk containers. These containers
aren't suitable for intermodal transport but linked to a wagon
unit whose number they carry. In case of damage, the container
can be separately repaired or replaced, and the wagon can also
be used for a variety of other purposes. The maximum capacity
for a double wagon unit is 138 t on D3/D4 tracks (22.5 t axle
load). Loading/unloading installations can be the same as for
existing rolling stock. This specific unit is a pre-series
prototype with vertically ribbed unloading hatches.
