ERS Railways B.V.

One of the latest addition to the new freight-operating private railways in The Netherlands is ERS (European Rail Shuttle). ERS is a subsidiary of the large shipping companies Maersk-Sealand and P&O Nedlloyd, and "thus" operates intermodal (container) trains for these companies.

ERS Railways operates intermodal services from Rotterdam to many destinations in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Poland. Their own locomotives operate as far as Basel in Switzerland, where SBB takes over.
