Project Aurora Rail is a ficticious carrier, with passenger and several freight contracts.
its headquarters is in in mainland Europe, near to the channel tunnel, (this allows operations
into the UK via the tunnel), operating 2 main types of locomotives. the 3E2 and the 2E2-0,
The 2E2 range is the mainstay of passenger operatons of project Aurora Rail and consists of
several subclasses of locomotive.
seen here is 2E2 class 205 1001. derived from the Siemens ES64, Aurora's class 205 phase 2
locomotives have different running gear than the standard variant. Identified by the destinctive
roof profile and single pantograph at the no-1 end, 3 large grilles on each side at the no-1 end
and six overhead spotlights. to give a smoother ride, Aurora's 205-1 locomotives were equipped with
the same axle sets used on the Class 264.
The class 205 phase 2 locomoitives are Project Aurora's mixed traffic locomotive and are multi-head
capable, the jump leads are located behind flaps on the ends of the cabs, unlike the exposed jump
leads used on the south sands locomotives.
