Aurora Rail systems UK, part of the Project Aurora group (fantasy), operates a number of locomotive
and HST sets in the UK on the West Coast Main Line, Midland Main Line and the South Coast lines.
The Class 93 is designed purely for the UK routes, working the midland region over short-haul express
routes between Birmingham and London. developed from the swiss built "class 460", modifications
include different wheel sets, similar to those used by Aurora's class 264 / Class 98 twins. The pantograph
over the no1 wheelset has been deleted. The final modification is the alteration of the profile of
the locomotive between the wheelsets.
The main disadvantage of the class 93, is its relative light weight when compared to the Class 98, this
restricts the locomotive to passenger operations.
